The artwork, "The Sea Within Me", was part of the exhibition "Using Art as a Vehicle for Change" at the 06870 gallery where 300 artists were invited to paint 12x12" panels on wood gesso. A portion of the sales was donated to support children’s art workshops in Greenwich, CT. This piece reflects the calm place Leka finds within herself after emotional storms. The blending follows the serenity of the sea, reaching the peace felt after the chaos. With this work it is possible to explore the vast ocean of feelings that lives within us all.
