Leka, Brazilian born in São Paulo in 1996, lives and works in New York, where she develops her multidisciplinary practice across architecture, photography, painting, and writing.Graduated in Architecture and Urbanism, she built a keen eye for space, light, symmetry and balance, foundations that shape her visual production. For the artist, creating observing, feeling, and expressing are ways of making life more conscious, human, and meaningful. In 2020, after deciding to move to the United States and a period ofself-discovery, she found new forms of expression through photography and visual arts.Arriving in New York at the beginning of the pandemic redefined her trajectory and marked a turning point, the emotional intensity of the moment and the need for presence expanded her creative horizons, reconnecting her to her inner truth.

Her practice covers different languages, with interest in photography, essentialist architecture, intuitive painting, experimental processes, and poetic writing. The oceanic series Sereno emerges as a nun folding of this research, exploring emotional depth, movement, and states of consciousness. Leka’s research reflects her commitment to art as a form of awareness. In her works, technique and sensitivity blend, bringing together the logic of architecture, the human connection of photography, and the intuitive dimension of painting in compositions that bring out memory, sensation, and recognition. The artist seeks to spark emotional responses, recover memories, and transform experiences into genuine connection. Her creativity is driven by the desire to inspire and be inspired. For Leka, creating is an act ofpresence, a way of transforming what she lives into awareness, and what she feels into form.
